The fifth, jubilee edition of the Super Rapid & Blitz Poland — traditionally inaugurating the prestigious Grand Chess Tour cycle. The world's absolute elite will be on the starting line: the reigning world champion, winners of the biggest tournaments, and players who have set the tone at the highest level in recent years.
Among those appearing in the Polish capital will be reigning world champion Gukesh Dommaraju. The competition promises to be extremely tight, with former world championship challenger Fabiano Caruana, the supremely solid Wesley So, and the spectacular Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. Poland will be represented by Jan-Krzysztof Duda and Radosław Wojtaszek.

Super Chess Classic Romania 2026 brings 10 of the world's best chess players to Bucharest for a classical round-robin tournament with $475,000 in total prizes. It is the first classical stage of the Grand Chess Tour 2026 — the most prestigious international chess circuit, with a total prize fund of $2,000,000.
Garry Kasparov — the greatest chess player of all time and 13th World Champion — is the founder of the Grand Chess Tour. Kasparov will be in Bucharest from 14 May, the first day of play, attending the early rounds of the tournament.

Zagreb will once again host one of the world's most prestigious chess events – Super Rapid & Blitz Croatia 2026, the third tournament of the 2026 Grand Chess Tour.
The Grand Chess Tour is one of the most important international chess circuits, bringing together elite tournaments in Poland, Romania, Croatia, and the United States, and annually showcasing the world's strongest players at the highest level of competition.
As the third leg of the Grand Chess Tour, founded by legendary World Chess Champion Garry Kasparov, the tournament is part of a series featuring a total prize fund of USD 2 million and is made possible through the support of the Super Foundation and the Saint Louis Chess Club.
The Zagreb tournament will take place from 1–6 July 2026 at The Westin Zagreb, with the official opening ceremony scheduled for 30 June 2026 at 5:30 PM, featuring special participation by chess legend Garry Kasparov.
Over the past decade, the Grand Chess Tour has played a significant role in promoting chess worldwide, bringing together the world's best players and inspiring new generations through the universal language of this noble game.
